
A FORUM ON THE LOCATION, DESIGN, USE AND NEED
FOR THE PROPOSED NEW CONVENTION CENTER, HOTEL AND GARAGE

June’s Urban Design Forum will be convened to discuss the location,
design, use and need for the proposed new convention center, hotel and
garage. T. K. Davis will make a presentation on issues and opportunities
associated with the site selection and design of urban convention centers.
Following this, the Music City Center Coalition, which has proposed the
complex, will present a summary of the observations and recommendations
of their recent report. This will be followed by questions and comments
from the Forum’s membership. At the end of the meeting, individual
(anonymous) written comments will also be collected. This is an information
and input meeting to gather ideas, as well as to promote dialogue and
discussion.
