Chase Rynd, a nationally recognized leader in the museum and arts communities, will lead our tour, providing professional and historical context for the visit. He assumed the position of President of the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. in September 2003. Created by Congress in 1980, the National Building Museum, a private, nonprofit institution, commemorates American achievements in architecture, design, construction, urban planning, and engineering, and encourages excellence in the building arts. In 1998, Rynd was appointed founding Executive Director and CEO of the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville, Tennessee. Rynd is a member of the International Council of Museums, American Association of Museums, Mid-Atlantic Association of Museums, American Friends of Chantilly, and American Federation of Arts. He also is a member of ACE Mentor Program, National Board of Directors.
