Designing for the Future

2014 marks the Tenth Year Anniversary of the Nashville Civic Design Center’s (NCDC) unveiling of The Plan of Nashville: Avenues to a Great City. Each year this luncheon features a visionary thought leader on issues of urban design and civic engagement. This event also provides an opportunity for the NCDC to present the work it has accomplished over the past twelve months, while highlighting projects in Nashville that illustrate how the city is moving forward in quality development, policy and practice. The Annual Luncheon also serves as the NCDC’s major fundraising event. This program has raised over $600,000 in support of the NCDC’s mission and programs. Annual attendance averages over 450 design professionals, developers, business leaders, state and local elected officials, department heads and engaged citizens.
