Venice: The Grand Canal

The Nashville Civic Design Center is pleased to present “Venice: The Grand Canal,” a photographic mural 5” high and over forty-two feet long. Thousands of photographs were digitally combined into two amazing seamless images that cover the entire length of Venice’s Grand Canal. This mural is hung as two stacked linear images, one with the view extending from the Dogana di Mare to Piazzale Roma and the other from Santa Lucia Station to San Marco. The lighting, the backgrounds, the elevations have all been balanced through the magic of digital photography, so that the effect is of slowly gliding down one side and then up the other. The Grand Canal is the world’s most magnificent street of water.

Exhibition runs December 14, 2005 through January 31, 2006.
Open Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.
