Updating the Vision for SoBro: Planning Beyond the Convention Center

The 1997 Plan for SoBro created a vision for the area south of Broadway and coined the area's name in the process. Subsequent plans built on the vision created in the SoBro study, including The Plan of Nashville.
The introduction of the Music City Center to SoBro will present opportunities and challenges to the area not anticipated in the SoBro Plan. Is there a vision for the area's future now that the MCC is moving into the neighborhood? What ways can the MCC serve as a catalyst for continuing development in the area? Are there other ideas or concerns that have yet to be addressed?
The August Urban Design Forum will discuss ideas from past, current and future plans, and offers members an opportunity to share their own for activating the area south of Korean Veterans Boulevard.
