Green Ribbon 2010: Addressing Nashville's Transportation + Air Quality Issues
Design Director Gary Gaston will present the Green Ribbon Committee Updates related to Mobility and Air Quality.
Ed Cole, Executive Director of Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee, and former director of environment and planning for TDOT – April 15th marks Ed’s first day as head of the Transit Alliance.
The alliance was created by a regional caucus of mayors last year to help build private sector support behind efforts to develop and fund a transit system in Middle Tennessee. The group of private businesspeople will help pinpoint a dedicated funding source for transportation, and then help sell the idea to the broader public.
Quincy Styke, State of Tennessee Deputy Director – Division of Air Pollution Control has over 35yrs in Air Pollution Control; he has prepared regulation and program development to implement Titles III, IV & V of the Clean Air Act.

This event is co-sponsored by Transit Now Nashville and Clean Air Partnership of Middle TN, a non-profit focused on air quality in the eight-county area including Cheatham, Dickson, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson counties. CAP works to encourage simple lifestyle changes like carpooling, mass transit and regular car maintenance that we, as individuals and businesses, can make to reduce air pollution and improve health in Middle Tennessee.
