DESCRIPTION:The Gulch is an urban neighborhood project including a livable community of residences\, retail shops\, restaurants\, and commercial offices. The project\, led by MarketStreet Enterprises\, aims to revitalize Nashville's historic Gulch and incorporate progressive urban design principles and an organic approach to development. In January 2009\, the USGBC awarded the Gulch a LEED Neighborhood Development distinction at the Silver Level\, making it the fourth project in the world with that designation. www.nashvillegulch.com [http\://www.nashvillegulch.com]                  \nThe H20 Urban Waterfront Development District is a mixed-use development based on the principles of Smart Growth and New Urbanism. The development team is dedicated to creating a "livable community\," with an emphasis on low impact development\, and environmental\, social\, and economic sustainability. Located along the Cumberland River near Charlotte Pike and 1-40\, the development will consist of retail\, office\, residential high-end lofts\, row houses\, condos and single-family houses.  www.h20district.com [http\://www.h20district.com]\nR. Hunter Gee has worked on a wide variety of architecture\, planning\, and urban design projects across the country. In addition to the Gulch Redevelopment Master Plan\, Hunter has led several urban infill mixed-use projects and large-scale\, mixed-use projects\, including Lenox Village\, Nashville's first Traditional Neighborhood Development\, and South Village\, a mixed-use development focusing on sustainable solutions and conservation in South Burlington\, VT. Hunter has lectured at numerous conferences and seminars on topics including Smart Growth\, Sustainable Development\, Transit Oriented Development\, and New Urbanism. In addition to his work\, Hunter serves on the Metro Nashville Planning Commission\, the Board of Directors of the Nashville Civic Design Center\, and the Urban Land Institute's District Council Executive Committee in Nashville.\nChris Ude joined Alpha\, LLC in 2008 to oversee all aspects of green building and sustainable practices for the company and the H2O Urban Waterfront District. Mr. Ude has a strong background in New Urbanism and he has been member of the National Congress for New Urbanism for seven years. Chris recently served a term as commissioner on the Franklin Municipal Planning Commission\, during which he brought cutting-edge sustainable ideas into the city's public discourse. Chris is President of the Board of the Hard Bargain Mt. Hope Redevelopment\, a not-for-profit which exists to impact lives and preserve history by restoring existing homes\, building quality workforce housing\, and revitalizing generational neighborhoods.\n
