Gary
Gaston is the Nashville Civic Design Center's Associate
Design Director. Gary’s is a principal contributor to The
Plan of Nashville and the
Center’s publication The Plan of Nashville: Avenues to
a Great City. Gary holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University
of Tennessee
in Knoxville. Following graduation, Gary moved to London for a
year, pursuing his interests in architecture and travel. In the
summer of 2000
he moved to Nashville and worked as an intern architect for Gresham
Smith & Partners.
In the Fall of 2001, Gary accepted a position with the UT College
of Architecture and Design as Lecturer and Coordinator of Communications,
where he served until joining the Nashville Civic Design Center (2002-2006).
Gary recently returned to the Nashville Civic Design Center after
working
at Looney Ricks Kiss Architects as an urban designer. Gary co-chaired
the Live It Up Downtown Home Tour for four years and serves
on
the
Board
of Directors
of Nashville Cares and
the
GLBT
Chamber
of Commerce.
