Oasis Center

For more than 40 years, Oasis Center has worked to close the opportunity gap that
exists for too many of Nashville’s young people. We are a full service youth agency
offering 22 unique programs designed to connect young people facing life’s greatest
obstacles with the opportunities they need to grow into healthy, productive adults.
Dr. Judy Freudenthal, Senior Director of Youth Engagement and Action of Oasis Center, has over 30 years experience in working with youth and families through counseling, prevention, and youth organizing services. Under her leadership, Oasis Center was designated as a Model Prevention Program in Tennessee through the Southeastern Center for the Application of Prevention Technology; the Oasis Across Ages Program was awarded the Innovation Program of the Year by the Tennessee Association of Homes for the Aging, the International Teen Outreach Program was selected as the Innovative Program of Tennessee by the Southern Policies Board of Governors for its capacity for economic and workforce development.
Lawanda Bradley has been a Youth Action Coordinator at the Oasis Center for almost three years, where she began working on a media campaign regarding the reduction of Infant Mortality in Tennessee. She graduated from Tennessee State University in 2008 with a B.S. in Speech Communications, and is currently a student at Austin Peay State University where she is studying Corporate Communications.
