The Nashville Civic Design Center was asked by Mayor Karl Dean on February 25, 2010, to facilitate a series of public meetings with the appointed Fairgrounds Task Force, to gather input on the future redevelopment of the 117-acre Fairgrounds Site. 

 

It is important to note that the decision to cease all existing uses on the site by December 31, 2010, was made prior  to the appointment of the Fairgrounds Task Force. Meetings were predicated by this fact. All opinions, thoughts and ideas were recorded during this process, and are reflected throughout this report.
