This one day workshop presents and demonstrates the proper techniques and tools needed for installing foodscapes and food forests. In the first half of the class, we will discuss tool selection, sharpening, and usage, as well as soil amendments and plant care. After lunch, we’ll work to install a food forest at Farm In The City! YEE HAW!! The design will be a synthesis of ideas from the Design Intensive workshop on 3/18. The hope is that when participants leave this workshop, they have the confidence to plant everything from a garden to an orchard! RSVP required as class size is limited to 15 people. Cost of class is $30 ($80 for both if purchased at the same time). Please bring a sack lunch, gardening gloves (if desired) and wear comfortable clothes.
