Creating a more beautiful and functional city for all means considering every aspect of the urban fabric, evaluating the environmental impacts, and including every resident when changing the built environment.

At this year's annual luncheon, NCDC is featuring Emilio Cabrero, who will explore “Socially Conscious Design” and how to think holistically and objectively as a city.  Through his work with Mexico City’s government, and as the Director of both Design Week Mexico and the World Design Capital “Mexico City” 2018, Cabrero has organized a variety of projects leading to positive impacts for the city in terms of mobility, housing, spaces public, clean energy and waste disposal.

As Nashville continues to grow, each project affecting the built environment needs to be more cognizant of the impact it has on the community as a whole.

About the Event

The Annual Luncheon serves as NCDC’s major fundraising event, featuring a keynote speaker that addresses a key topic in shaping Nashville’s future. This program has raised over $1,500,000 in support of NCDC’s mission and programs. Attendees include approximately 1,000 design professionals, developers, business leaders, state and local elected officials, department heads, neighborhood leaders and engaged citizens.
