The Annual Luncheon serves as NCDC’s major fundraising event, featuring a keynote speaker that addresses a key topic in shaping Nashville’s future. This program has raised over $1,500,000 in support of NCDC’s mission and programs. Attendees include approximately 1,000 design professionals, developers, business leaders, state and local elected officials, department heads, neighborhood leaders and engaged citizens.

On June 25th, join the Nashville Civic Design Center for the public release of the Affordable Housing 101 report, the companion presentation slide deck, and the Game of Rent - a gamified teaching tool for building empathy and understanding about housing. The Game of Rent puts real, local data around what it takes to live in different neighborhoods. Roll the dice and be dealt a hand, then make the most of your situation in a race to find an apartment you can afford.

UDF: Reclaiming Public Space Downtown

The June Urban Design Forum continues our focus on creating successful public spaces in Nashville and will feature a preview of the upcoming Reclaiming Public Space Vol. 2 report. This study explores improving existing public spaces and the opportunity to create new spaces for an ever-growing city. Project sites include Lafayette Street, Gay Street, 1st Avenue, the Riverfront and other sites throughout Downtown Nashville.
