Taylor Young is a published co-author, research enthusiast, and strong advocate for public health. She has her B.S. in Agriculture from Austin Peay State University and a Masters of Public Health, concentration in Veterinary Medicine, from University of Tennessee. Taylor has always had a love for animals and their interactions with humans which led to her to the Civic Design Center. Specifically, she is interested in how companion animals factor into public health and the environment we all share. Taylor joined the Design Center in February 2018 as a Research Fellow to work on the collaborative program with Mars Petcare, BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™. Her research focused on where public health and pet ownership intersect to create more pet-friendly cities. Taylor also handles research, writing, and all things related to grants for the organization. Taylor and her husband, Murry, enjoy exploring all that Nashville has to offer with their daughter - Vera, and their cat - Meatball.
