When an organization enters its 25th year, it has firmly established itself as a well-respected institution in the community. However, the Civic Design Center is not a siloed institution—we are positioned amidst neighborhoods to act as a megaphone for the voices of Nashvillians while translating complex urban issues back to these same community members. We have always looked forward to exploring urban design solutions that will improve quality of life and our 25th Anniversary will be no different. 

To kick off celebrations, we will be hosting an open house style party in Butler’s Run Alley in partnership with our neighbors, Leviton, who are celebrating 120 years of innovation in powering and connecting everyday spaces. During the party, we will unveil our focus areas for the next 5 years as Metro Nashville strives to rapidly implement city-wide plans for transportation, housing, and open spaces. We will also be giving away special pocket-sized maps that demonstrate our Guiding Principles for Civic Design complete with incredible editorial photography by Joelle Cardinale.  

Special guests, giveaways, live music, food, and drinks will be features of the celebration. 

Registration is required for attendance. Members can reserve free tickets on the honor system, but please check with Community Development Director, Veronica Foster, to verify your membership if you are unsure of your donation status. Sponsor companies will receive a special code and link to register guests.
