When I entered office in October of 2019, my constituents noted crime and traffic as the top concerns for them. We have continuously worked on the crime and have seen it lower over 10%. However, traffic is still a major concern; the top concern for many constituents. Drivers race through the streets of north Nashville, you can see their tire tracks as you walk the area. Families are nervous for their children to play in their yards or even walk to school due to the high rate of speeding. Finding permanent traffic calming measures will slow the speed of traffic as well as limit the cut through traffic through the interior neighborhood streets. We have to make immediate decisions to protect our neighbors!
