Brianna Cullen is the Youth Programs Manager for the Civic Design Center. In this role, Brianna supports middle school teachers implementing the Design Your Neighborhood (DYN) curriculum, continues the development of curriculum content, and coordinates events and volunteers for DYN projects.

Brianna graduated from Murray State University with a degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and a Spanish minor. Prior to joining the Civic Design Center team, Brianna taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in Wilson County Schools where she worked with elementary and middle school students. As an ESL teacher, she designed instruction to promote language development, supported students in accessing grade-level standards and skills, and served as a resource for content area teachers.

Brianna’s favorite part of living in Nashville is listening to live music, trying local restaurants and coffee shops, and exploring the city’s parks and green spaces with her husband, Patrick, and their two dogs, Love and Rex. Brianna also enjoys quality time with friends and family, visiting the mountains and the beach, traveling to new places, learning about language and culture, and all things related to Disney.
